Our Collection of Destination Weddings in the Turks & Caicos Islands

Grand Turk Island is the capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands, a British colony located just southeast of the Bahamas island chain and 100 miles north of the Dominican Republic. Grand Turk offers an informal, friendly, relaxed pace and is ideal for the vacationer looking to get away from it all. This unspoiled island with its miles and miles of white, sandy beaches is world-renowned for its scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing.

The beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands are situated 575 miles south of Miami and 39 miles south east of Mayaguana in the Bahamas. The thirtysome flat, sun-parched islands, inlets, and cays of Turks and Caicos, a British crown colony, claim a 5,000-square-mile patch of ocean.  Most of these sandy specks are uninhabited.  Now, Grand Turk, Salt Cay, Pine Cay, Providenciales (Provo), and South, East, West, North, and Middle Caicos, are all expanding their tourist facilities. There are more than two dozen other small islands and cays scattered throughout the archipelago. These uninhabited rocks each exhibit a  distinct personality. Today's treasure: miles and miles of reefs and some almost-virgin diving of the longest coral reefs in the world which attracts divers from all over the globe.

For divers, sun lovers, and of course Honeymooners, the overall quality and value of Grand Turk is very high. The relaxed feel of this tropical island hideaway comes as a welcome respite from the 'high pressure pleasures' of some of the other Caribbean holiday spots.

One of the most valuable possessions of the islands are the white sandy beaches, which in total cover 230 miles and are complimented with crystal clear waters. The islands are relatively flat but depending on the island, the terrain can vary from sand dunes to lush green vegetation. There are eight major islands which are inhabited, Salt Cay, Grand Turk, South Caicos, East Caicos, Middle Caicos, North Caicos, Providenciales and West Caicos.

Excellent viability, pristine reefs, abundant tropical flora and fauna, fish and other marine life, quality diving services and easy conditions make the Turks and Caicos Islands a world class diving destination. There is exceptional wall diving starting in shallow turquoise water and dropping off into the deep blue ives a thrill. Shipwrecks, old and new further increases the multiplicity of the islands as an outstanding diving destination.
