Legal Requirements for Destination Weddings to Jamaica


Documents Needed



  • Notarized or Original copies of birth certificate for both bride and groom.

  • Proof of divorce (if applicable) - Notarized copy or original Certificate of Divorce.

  • Notarized or Original copy of Death Certificate in the case of widow/widower.

  • Notarized copy of Adoption documents reflecting name change (if applicable).

  • Notarized translation of documents to English where originals are in another language.

  • Photocopy of photo ID (Driverís License or Passport)




  • Upon conclusion of the wedding ceremony, the marriage officer issues a copy of the Marriage Certificate to the bride and groom.

  • Within eight (8) weeks subsequent to the ceremony, two (2) certified copies of the Marriage Certificate will be mailed to you

 Any wedding that we organize in Jamaica is legally recognized by the United States, its' territories, the United Kingdom and Canada.

All documents must be mailed to us at least thirty (30) days prior to the preferred wedding date. We can expedite if necessary with 7 days minimum.

You may FAX or FEDEX documents directly to our offices in lieu of original documents before they arrive.

Couple must be on the Island 24 hours prior to wedding date.
